Long I have been thinking of writing a post every end of the month of what transpired during the past 30/31 days. This is one way I thought of keeping this blog active and assessing on where my time was spent..As always, this one is quite overdue since it is mid-July and I will be talking about my june month..let me start..
First time t
o get hospitalized..
It was during the first week of the month that the thing I usually boast off with my friends and siblings has ended..I’ve always thought of myself as a high-resistance girl incapable of being impregnated with viruses. I was hospitalized. In the midst of the scare and popularity of the A(H1N1) virus, I rode on and felt the same symptoms of fever, cough, and sore throat that made me somehow panicked of my condition. Good thing I was not diagnosed as positive, just had an ordinary flu and tonsillopharingitis. Worst effect that I had with my sickness is having to be absent from work for about a week and carrying the cough for almost three weeks or so.
One thing I learned from all that happened is that we really have to invest time and effort in our health. It should be a priority. One should really take/have good food, plenty of exercise, enough rest, and especially keep away from stress to keep healthy and moving.
Second time to
celebrate my birthday at work..
It was still vivid to me my birthday last year where I spent the whole day at IROC office with people I barely know. I was not with my friends or even my new SOG team yet making my day not that great as I wanted. But this year, since I have the priviledge of taking my VLs, I opted to take a leave on my birthdate and had my annual check-up scheduled. Interestingly, though I was away from my office I was being haunted by my work – a phone call from SG, a vessel that needs to be cleared, a problem with import receiving. But glad, I have my teammates to handle..haha! I was overwhelmed with text greetings from old and new friends. Some forgot, some remembered, some were late but still thankful for I got friends who were still connected by hearts and minds inspite of physical absence. The next day, a great dinner was arranged for me courtesy of my boss and office mates. I was with my men team and thankful I am for they gave their time to celebrate my birthday. I must say they are not really good in surprises but still that dinner made me really felt special. I also blew my candle in my yummy chocolatey cake!
This experience just thought one basic thing-people come, people go. I do admit I really miss my friends whom I almost spent my five years in college and sometimes I keep on thinking when will those happy times happen again. I may now lack the company I want but I was blessed by God with smart and respectable people whose kindnes are really genuine. One day I will find happiness here, with them, I know it will be soon..
